About us

Meet CEUTP

Since 2007, as a state budget unit, the Centre for EU Transport Projects (i.e. CEUTP) has comprehensively supported the entitled parties involved in preparation and implementation of projects related to:

  • roads,
  • rails,
  • aviation,
  • maritime,
  • inland waterways,
  • intermodal,
  • security,
  • public transport or
  • sustainable mobility.

All ongoing projects contribute to the development of a modern transport system in Poland.

As an institution we have been involved in:

  • acting as an intermediary in the preparation and implementation of transport projects financed by European Funds in the years 2014-2020 and 2021-2027;
  • implementing the Infrastructure and Environment Operational Programme in the years 2007-2013;
  • implementing the European Union’s Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) in the years 2014-2020 and the so-called CEF2 in the years 2021-2027;
  • supporting the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRP) on behalf of the Ministry of Infrastructure in the EU Financial Perspective 2021-2027.

The purpose of the Centre actions is to rationalise and effectively utilise all EU funds allocated for the co-financing of transport projects until 2029.

We report to the Minister of Infrastructure and the Minister of Funds and Regional Policy; our work is managed by Director Joanna Lech.

The Centre’s funding comes mainly from EU funds and its activities are governed by the applicable laws of the Republic of Poland.

As a result, CEUTP plays a crucial role in supporting the development of transport infrastructure in Poland, contributes to improving the quality of citizens’ lives and stimulates the country’s economy.

The benefits from transport projects funded by EU Funds can be seen and felt by everyone who uses more modern and comfortable roads, trains and stations, buses and trams. Owing to them, the Polish transport has also become safer, greener and more accessible.

Centre’s ongoing activities

As part of the current European Union perspective, we are in charge of implementing the following programmes and instruments:

  • European Funds for Infrastructure, Climate, Environment 2021-2027;
  • European Funds for Eastern Poland 2021-2027;
  • Connecting Europe Facility CEF2 2021-2027.

Moreover, implementation of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan has been supported by us.

The experience gained by CEUTP during the previous perspectives and handling of several hundred projects provides a solid foundation for the effective and efficient continuation of our mission, which has been an effective disbursement of funds from the European Union budget for the implementation of transport projects.

In addition to activities aimed at implementing programmes and instruments for the purpose of transport projects in Poland, we carry out analytical and expert activities for the wide-ranging transport sector, based on our experience in the implementation of projects from the European Funds. Consistently, we remain close to our entitled parties, providing assistance and jointly solving problems that form an integral part of the implementation of each major project.
